Tribal prints are a huge trend right now. I have an Urban Outfitters dress which has a muted tribal print. I love the blue on black, and also the wooden buttons down the front. This dress is great during the summer, but today I paired it with a gold cardigan, white scarf, and black leggings. I love the pop of color this gold cardigan brings to the otherwise dull look. The weather is supposed to warm up this week, and I am hoping to get outdoors to take photos.

I did some wishful thinking yesterday. I hoped spring weather would come with March. I was more than wrong. We got so much snow and I am ready for it all to melt and for spring weather to come in. I wore my denim dress, white tights, and floral scarf. Everyone said I looked so springy. Some thought I looked silly in my winter boots with such a springy look but I didn't care! I will wear what I want to wear, always. I am itching to get outdoors to take some photos. Once the snow melts I am back outside, unless its raining of course!

I have been wearing a ton of bright royal blue lately. It has been one of my favorite colors to wear. Paired with black tight and loafers as well as my new scarf this look was easy and comfortable. I wore my white sweater today which is one of my favorites. I am glad I spent a few extra dollars on this sweater than my other option which was much cheaper. I wore my grey dress underneath the cardigan with my black belt to give the look some shape. Also my black leggings and boots. To top off the look I wore my new headband which is a sea foam color with white polka dots. What this look could use is some jewelry from the online jewelry store myjewelrybox. I always say I need to do better with putting on some jewels in the morning! Be back tomorrow with another post.

Went a different direction today with some mirror photos in the library bathroom. They have a little powder room located outside the bathroom with a large mirror and counter. I wore a ruffle skirt and a new scarf which my roommate Kaitlyn purchased for me! Something fun and easy for a Friday. I get to celebrate my birthday tonight with friends and tomorrow with my family! Today is the start of a new and exciting week for me! Wednesday is my 21st birthday and Friday my best friend from home is coming to celebrate with me at school! Saturday I get to go home and see my family. Today I wanted to try something different with my pixie cut. I decided to do a french twist across the front to hold my bangs back. I haven't decided if I like it or not but its nice to keep my bangs from falling in my face! I wore a new dress today which I got for $8 at TJ Maxx last time I was home. I wore my maroon tights and loafers to complete the look. What I like best about this dress is the sleeves. I love a good dress that I can throw on in the morning and be ready to go. I found this super comfortable striped sweater at Old Navy recently for a very low price. Today I wore it with a mix of purple and green. I wore my green chiffon skirt (looks blue in the photos) and a purple scarf. I wore my loafers today instead of the usual boots to give my legs a longer look and to add to the sophistication of the outfit. Some may think this is a little dressy for everyday wear but not me. Black tights get boring after a long winter. Although the weather in upstate New York has been mild this year I still always tend to reach for my black tights when wearing a dress in these months. I recently purchased tights in a bunch of new colors. Today I wore a tan pair. I love this tan color because not only is it close to nude but worn with the right colors and you can give your look an earthy feel. I went for a more sophisticated look today with a dress from Mango's collection at JCPenney. Never fear mixing neutrals today I wore navy, black, white, and tan all in one look.

Lots of photos today! The first outfit is what I wore on Friday and the second what I am wearing today. Friday's look consisted of jeans, boots, and a tent-like tunic top. I love the color and the shape is very comfortable but chic with the tight sleeves. Today's look is also based on comfort with a pair of basic leggings and a long sleeve tee I dressed up the look with a flowy multi-colored tunic and some bracelets. Snow boots were also a must for today's weather.

I love this dress because of the painted flowers. The print looks as if the flowers were painted right on the fabric. I scored two Missoni for Target cardigans at my local goodwill store. Today I wore one of them. I was so happy to find this sweater because I absolutely love the colors. I was even more thrilled when I realized the cardigan perfectly matched my favorite pair of pink tights. With the bright pop of color I wore a basic casual LBD and my white scarf. Hello all! Sorry it has been a few days since I have posted. I have been busy working, cleaning, shopping, and organizing. Today since I spent the entire day out shopping I decided to to a post on decor. I took photos of the things I have hanging on the walls in my closet/dressing area. Each year I purchase a Shoe 360 calendar. These calendars have a shoe for each day featuring vintage, classic, and modern shoes all in full color. Each month also has one large photo. The above photo is of a large photo from that calendar. All I did was cut up the calendar and frame the picture. I absolutely love the above heel which was also accompanied by a quote.

I have to admit I purchased this skirt in the kids section. I loved the polka dots and the grey and black go well with many tops. What I should have done with this look was layered on some jewelry and other accessories to make it more interesting. I went with a basic turtle neck, scarf, and tights. Decided to wear floral today to spice up the cold weather. With such a vibrant skirt I like to wear other toned down colors to compliment the piece. Today I wore black leggings, boots, and a dolman sleeve sweater. The fringe sleeves let the sweater stand out without taking away from the skirt. I am welcoming in the new year with a new hairstyle. But also a goal of expanding my wardrobe as much as possible. I am aiming towards using the pieces I already own with my newer items to create new looks. I also want to go outside my comfort zone and experiment with new styles. Today instead of wearing my usual dress, boots, and scarf I opted to wear a top, jean shorts, and sweater tights with loafers in trade of boots! The cowl neck on this top also replaced the scarf I usually wear. I love these new loafers. They were a gift from my mother and they are from Land's End. It's finals week! I took these photos last Friday. The library is way too crowded this week for me to take photos but I will be heading home Friday night! I have a busy few weeks ahead at home but I will as usual do my best to post every day. I wore this look on Friday, it was my first full day of studying. I love these floral leggings from H&M, I paired them with my grey dress and a turtle neck top. I wanted something warm and comfortable and this definitely made the cut. It rained yesterday before it turned to a ton of snow over night! I wore this look yesterday during the down pour. This jacket is one of my favorites. It is starting to rip which makes me very upset! I wish I could buy a replacement. I also love my rain hat, the wide brim and simple color go with everything! I decided to wear my dressy purple ruffle dress from Forever 21 but to dress it down for a rainy school day I paired it with my short sleeve striped sweatshirt. I love the mix of dressy and dressed down.

Hello all. It is finally December and the air is very chilly. It's been getting colder and that means more layers. I never show you guys what I wear when I am walking around campus! I think I will start taking a photo or two of what I am wearing as far as jacket, hats, and gloves go. Today I wore one of my favorite dresses. Although the length of this dress is a little awkward, I love the black and white pattern. I wore my purple scarf on top and my black tights and boots. My favorite thing about this dress is the sleeves, they are the perfect length and I love the style of them. For a coat I wore my black pea coat. I also wore my new fur headband which keeps my ears nice and warm in the cool wind. I can picture this headband being my new favorite winter accessory. Thanks for stopping by!

Almost done with this semester, we have made it to the final stretch. I am getting busier and busier with studying and last minute work before finals. Hopefully ill be able to post Friday and a few times next week! I wore my favorite floral cardigan today. I decided to pair the floral with these chestnut colored heeled boots. I don't wear these boots often but I want to wear them a few more times before snow falls and I am stuck with snow boots each day! Wore a new sweater which I purchased at Goodwill on Black Friday. Paired with my Cece Topping which is the collar piece and my jeans for a comfy Monday. I absolutely love the look of collars underneath a top or dress but I hate the comfortableness of having an entire layer on under my sweater. I threw together these items today when I decided to put a look together of items I hadn't worn in a while. I love this thick tan sweater and I especially love pairing it with the maroon color of my dress. With my black staple accessories the look is complete. It's always refreshing to be back home for a few days after a long few months at school. It's nice to have the opportunity to take photos outdoors again. Even though the lighting is weird because of the sun and the wind was out of control I still enjoy snapping some quick photos in the chilly air. I wore my Halloween costume dress today. As you can see this costume can be worn every day too. Being able to choose items in your closet to wear for Halloween is always a fantastic idea because you don't have to go out and spend 40 dollars or more on a costume you will only wear once. I always keep my clothing for a long time. Even if an item is a few years old I like to find ways to refresh it and make it new.

I found this room in the library with a red wall in it. It's actually a really cool place to take photos. From now on I will try to take some photos in that room in addition to my usual spot. Wore my other pair of glasses from prooptical today. This pair is much different from the regular pair I wore in my last post. As for my outfit, these forest green jeans, white tee, and floral scarf complete my look. Although this look is fairly basic its perfect for a gloomy day. Today's goal was to be comfortable. I am stuck smack dab in the middle of a cold. I have passed the sore throat stage and now have a terrible head cold meaning I am all stuffed up with a headache. On a brighter note.. I wore a mustard tunic top today with my black leggings and boots. My purple scarf meshes perfectly with the mustard color. And now about the glasses. I don't wear prescription glasses but the people over at http://www.proopticals.com/ were kind enough to let me choose two pairs of their fashion glasses! This is the first pair, I think they look great but its strange seeing myself in glasses. I will feature the second pair soon!

Hello all! Friday night I dressed up as a 1920's couple with my boyfriend Ben. It was a ton of fun. I absolutely loved out costumes. I was a flapper/movie star and he was a gangster. Who says black and navy don't go together? Sometime I love to mix some items that I wouldn't normally pair. For example today I wore my polka dot navy dress with black. On a normal basis I would find a way to wear this dress with white and grey but no black. I am really loving this mix of items and colors. This has been the longest week ever. Between midterms, projects, and other work it was crazy. I am so thankful that it is Thursday and that I can finally relax because I have no classes tomorrow. Of course I have another insane week next week but not nearly as bad. Nothing a Sunday spent in the library won't fix. I can finally breathe a sigh of relief. I wore this look yesterday. My gold corduroy leggings (people always think I am not wearing any pants) and a black tunic top with my red plaid blazer. I have had this blazer for ages and it never gets old. I have decided that if I can not come up with a creative title I will just use the days date. How boring, I know! I am as always busy working on school stuff! I have classwork, club work, internship work, and an FIT application to fill out! Busy, busy. I wore my favorite pink shoes today with a black dress and my floral scarf. This scarf is one of my favorite finds, for less than three dollars I purchased this huge scarf which features lovely summer colors but can easily transition to the winter because of its large size. A little white tie to give the dress some shape and I called it a day. Thanks for all the great feedback on my last post!

Hello readers! Its the start of a new week, and one week closer to my next break (Thanksgiving: so far away!). Although my weeks do go by quite quickly I wish that I was a few weeks closer to being done with school work. I have so much going on and I am ready for a short break. Today I am wearing a purple dress which is one of my favorite dresses it is easy to throw on and can easily be paired with other items to be made into a complete look. I wore my long black string tied around my waist several times as a belt and my black flats to complete the look. Simple, but easy for a long Monday. I have so many things going on this semester and I will keep this post short. Today I wore a fairly boring look, I didn't mean for it to be so bland but it ended up that way! I have had this knit dress for years and I love the design on the front but never know what to wear it with. I am super close to 300 followers! So exciting! Today I decided to head to the library to take photos. I have been disappointing myself by not posting regularly like I used to. I have many commitments this year which make it hard to find the time to take quality photos. I did however decide yesterday that I need to get back in action! I wore a comfy Monday outfit today with my leggings, Olsenboye boots, and a new pink pullover sweater from Target. The weather is getting much colder and its nice to be able to wear some layers although if it gets much colder I won't be too happy. I love this sweater because I can easily throw it on for some warmth and simplicity.

I want to thank Misikko for sending me this amazing Hana hair straightener! I took a photo of my hair before and my hair after so you can get an idea of the difference the straightener makes. My hair is naturally pin straight so my hair didn't change too much although the hair straightener makes my hair much smoother and shinier which is always a plus!

Hello readers! I am glad many of you got the chance to check out the photos from the Discard Avant Garb fashion show. I am super busy with class work, home work, meetings, and other school related activities. Some people think being a fashion major is easy but I couldn't disagree more. This semester I am working on completing my minor which is in business communications. I want to start my own business and the classes I am taking have certainly helped in developing my ideas of business. Besides my business classes I am taking a few last fashion courses before I am off to FIT next Fall. I had the chance to quickly snap a few photos while studying today. I have two exams tomorrow that I have been preparing for all day. Today I wore a summer dress which I transitioned into fall by pairing a forest green tank under the dress as well as a black cardigan and tights. Discard Avant Garb 2011.

This year I participated in the Discard Avant Garb Fashion Show in Albany, NY. I participated as both a designer and model. I designed my own recyclable garment from trash bags, newspapers, and wallpaper. I also modeled an Erika Klein design made from wallpaper samples. The show was a lot of fun and I cannot wait to participate (hopefully) in the future. All of the designers were incredible and the pieces they created were fantastic. A great job was done by all! Thank you readers for making me happy by leaving behind some very sweet comments on my last post. Also, thanks to my new followers who are making me a step closer to my goal of 300. Today I wore a pleated tunic under a new tie front top I recently purchased. I love this top because it can be worn over several items in my wardrobe to make them more appropriate for Fall or Winter. I also threw on my black leggings just in case the wind picks up! I love this tunic because of the lovely gemstone color. It also has a gorgeous neckline which is hard to see in the photos. Hello everyone. I am going to keep this quick since I am busy reading and doing work. I found the time to take photos today thankfully! I wore my new favorite wide leg pants from American Apparel. I love these pleated forest green pants. They are fun and different. I did receive some strange looks from other students but I don't mind. I like them. I also wore a Paris t-shirt tied to the side in a little rosette. Can't wait to post more this week thanks for reading and to my new followers. My goal is 300 followers by the end of September. :)

I haven't had time to post on here because it has been impossible to take photos! I will be back soon I hope. Here at school the mornings are always very cold. Since I usually take my photos in the morning I will be much more bundled up then I will be later on in the day. My classes start tomorrow and I am going to find a time and place each day to take photos. Some days will be trickier than others! Today I wore my favorite H&M jeans, a long sleeve H&M sweater and a yellow striped scarf. I love this scarf and have been waiting for an opportunity to wear it this summer. When I saw the hint of yellow in this sweater I knew that the scarf would pair perfectly. :)

Today I wore my favorite striped skirt with my beaded top. I love the combination of stripes and the multi-colored bead shirt. I also wore a purple sweater to cover my shoulders and black sandals. I hope everyone had a great Friday! Today I wore a new dress from the MNG by Mango line for JCPenney. I love this dress. It is similar to a shirt I have from the same collection. I absolutely adore the design on the front of this dress as well as the tie and trim. This dress is easy and cute. I love dresses for that reason more than anything else. Dresses with sleeves are especially easy because I can throw one on and get out the door.

Today I decided to wear a new skirt from Zara. I love the pattern, colors, and pleats that combine to make this great skirt. I hope to bring it into the fall and winter even though the colors are sort of summer-y. I mixed the floral skirt pattern with a striped tube top. I love mixing patterns and these two designs went very well together. One it comes to mixing patterns I like to pair two pieces together that have at least one or two colors in common. I wore a wonderful light colored look today with a white lace mini dress and a pale pink button up dress on top. I love the rolled sleeves and the opening in the front which lets the lace dress peek through. I wore my normal black sandals to finish off the look. Lately I have been buying a lot of light colored pale pink pieces which I have seen many inspiring spreads in magazines featuring light colors including beige's, pale pink, white, and other light colors. I was inspired by those images while piecing this look together. I purchased the perfect necklace to go with this look tonight while at Target which I am sure I will show on here soon. I have finally finished my back to school shopping and I move back on Sunday! Thanks for stopping by!

Today I decided to wear my new strapless dress from Guess. This dress was a total steal at the Guess store in my local mall. Original $78 I was able to purchase this dress on super sale for $10. It had been marked down several times and I was able to receive an additional 50% off the sale price which was $20. I love this dress because of the colors and the style. I don't have very many strapless dresses and this dress will transition perfectly into the fall with its colors and wooden detail. I leave for vacation tomorrow and therefore this will be my last post until August 14th or 15th when I return from my trip! I love this quilted vest and it matches my orange dress perfectly. Not only is this outfit perfect for work but I find it casual enough to wear on a daily basis. I can't believe it is August already. Today I wore a dark green striped dress which came from Target a while back. I love the color and stripes but I especially love the back of this dress. It is low cut with a column of ruffles down the center of the back. It is a fun unique touch to an otherwise simple dress. I piled on some jewelry again with some mixed bracelets and a necklace. I am away this weekend to visit my roommates and spend a weekend in the RV with the family. Needless to say I will not be able to post until Sunday. I've decided that I need to get more usage out of the tons of shoes in my closet. I have all of these gorgeous heels that I never have the chance to wear. I think I will start wearing them as often as I can. Although I may not break out the crazy ridiculous high heels I do have some shoes which can work there way into my normal wardrobe. Today I wore my leopard skirt from Modcloth with a new crisp plain white tee along with my t-strap wedges. I love this look because it is sophisticated yet effortless and young. I received my second pair of American Apparel bloomers today! I cannot wait to wear them. This pair is completely red with no stripes like my seersucker pair! Today I wore a few of my newer items which included my new H&M dress and a new red cardigan. I absolutely love both of these items. Hello all! I got back from camp yesterday and will start posting regularly beginning today! I have a few new items to show you soon that I can't wait to post. I am also currently sewing/working on a floor length chiffon skirt! Needless to say I am keeping very busy as usual. Today I threw on a quick simple outfit to run some errands in. This dress is from Heritage 1981 and is a few years old. Its so easy to throw on and be set to go. I wore my black basics with my t-strap sandals and a cardigan.
