Transition.
There is nothing like the urge to wear spring clothes when it is still freezing outside. Every year I have the urge to start wearing spring clothes such as cute flats, spring dresses, and light jackets. Of course it will probably be another month before all the snow melts and another two months before it is realistically warm enough to wear those items. Today I did my best to channel Spring by wearing shorts and a short sleeve shirt. I wore tights under my shorts to make the outfit temperature appropriate. I also wore a Paris t-shirt and a purple short sleeve cardigan. Thank you for the wonderful feedback! :)

Mixed.
Today I wore a mixed combination of colors and textures. I wore my forest green lace skirt with a multi-colored tank. Since both of these items are colored I went with some black basics to finish off the look including a black cardigan and a pair of textured tights. I threw on my black boots to complete the look.

I have recently been wearing many older items in my wardrobe. I find it very important to pair old items with newer ones. Today I paired my newer lace skirt with an older tank to put together an entire different look. By wearing older items with newer ones you can create completely different looks. Although some might recognize the older item you are wearing combining it with something new can give a look a fresh vibe. If you dare to take the challenge choose the oldest most unworn item in your closet and try to pair it with something new to bring it back to life. Thank you for reading! :)

Suitcase style.
I have been working my outfits out of items that I decided to bring home from school. I was very choosy this time and only brought home certain items that I thought would put together good outfits and save space. Unfortunately it has been much colder than I imagined and I have only been able to quickly have my mother take photos outside on our porch. I always make the weirdest smirks when someone is taking photos for me. I prefer the self timer and tripod set up but in a hurry this always works the best. I wore one of my chic rewards today which I redeemed on Chictopia about a month ago. I love this wool sweater the colors are great and there are several ways to wear it. Today I went basic by pairing my black leggings and boots as well as a purple scarf for a pop of color.
Lastly, I want to show you the newest edition to my room. I purchased this lovely wire dress form at our local TJ Maxx. It was only $40 and it is the most perfect edition to my bedroom decor. I plan to hang hats, scarves, and jewelry off it once summer comes! Thank you for reading and for all the amazing support! :)

Emerald.
I can't exactly tell what the color of this top is. I would like to say green but when I look at it I see a bit of blue but maybe my eyes are going crazy. I hear pleats are in for the upcoming season. I will do my part in supporting this trend by wearing my emerald green pleated top which has a bunch of folds along the hem of the top. I have had this top for a few months now. I found it at the end of the season back in the Fall and haven't worn it until now. I love the color and the pleats and flow give the top a different vibe than being just a basic camisole (I am trying to bring the word camisole back). I paired the top with my favorite scarf in the houndstooth pattern, I also wore my black boots and jeans to finish off this relaxed yet still sophisticated look. My internet was not working earlier so I had to wait a few hours before I was finally able to post! Hopefully tomorrow will be much better! Thank you for reading! :)

Babe.
I have picked out 9 outfits to wear while I am home. I tried to pick some simple things that I wouldn't have too much time packing and that would be easy to match a single pair of boots or a sweater with. Packing is always so difficult I always want to pack way more than I will ever need and I feel as if I am always forgetting something. I go home tomorrow which is really exciting because it has been a while. Hopefully I will get the chance to post tomorrow but I have all morning to sit around and wait until class so it should not be too much of a challenge.
Today is my wonderful boyfriends birthday so of course I must say Happy Birthday to him! We haven't done anything for out birthdays or Valentines day yet, we agreed on celebrating once we were home where we won't have to sit in our dorm rooms or take a bus to go somewhere!
I wore a cream colored dress today which is a new addition to my wardrobe. I feel like a light colored dress in either white or cream is an essential in my closet. It is perfect for any time of the year and can be worn alone or with many layers. I chose to wear a purple scarf today as well as my black cardigan for some warmth. I also am able to wear my sheer dot tights today because it is almost 50 degrees. It is scary to think about how warm that is now when in a few months it will be 70 and I will be dying for some cool air. I want to thank everyone for reading. I am now past 150 followers which is truly amazing! :)

Running on low.
My batteries were running on low when I was attempting to take these photos this morning at the library. Of course I kept running into crowds of people so I wandered around the library aimlessly looking for a spot. Of course once I actually found one my camera turned off and my batteries were dead. On the bright side I ended up realizing that I didn't like the boots I was wearing when I took the photos at the library. Once I got back to my room I ended up changing and taking some more photos with my tan ankle moccasins which although may make me look more like a freak I like much better than the black boots.
I already have received some strange looks from people today because most people on campus are not used to anyone wearing bright orange tights. I hope this goes to show that I can wear whatever I want whether others think I look like a freak or not. I was trying to channel the 70's today with this look and I think I succeeded this corduroy dress has a lovely pattern set on navy. I then decided to wear the bright orange tights which I have never worn before. Paired with my ankle booties this look was complete. The weather is surprisingly looking up today but we will see if that lasts! Thank you for reading! :)

Double cut.
This t-shirt is one of my go to tops when I am in need of a quick casual and easy look. I recently cut holes in the sleeves of this shirt to expose my shoulders for an effortless but fun look. Exposing the shoulders gives this plain t-shirt a whole new vibe. I also made my scarf from an old black t-shirt. To do this I cut the bottom half of the shirt off and then cut several little slits about 3/4 of the way up the material and then pulled them to make them stringy. I know these directions are a bit difficult but I plan to do two tutorial videos while I am home. One of how to do the t-shirt and another on how to make a scarf.
To go along with my red t-shirt and black scarf I wore my favorite pair of H&M jeans and my report boots. It always saddens me when I cannot make it to the library to take decent photos! I attempted to find a spot at the library today but it was more than crowded and all my good photo taking areas were taken! I have three or four really fun looks planned out that I hope to wear either in the next few days or next week while I am home. Problem is that I do not want to ruin my good boots here at school and the outfits don't look complete without them. Sometimes my black snow boots just don't make the cut.
