Merry Christmas!

For my first day back at work I wore a ruffle pale pink dress. With a black tie top shirt and a scarf which I received for my birthday last year from my best friend. My grey boots completed the look!

This day the power went out! But I still decided to get dressed with a magenta button up top. I am obsessed with the leather collar and cuffs! I wore it over my white lace dress with black leggings and boots.

To work on Saturday I wore a multicolored sheer tunic top with black basics underneath. For another pop of color I wore my bright blue belts and a white cardigan for warmth. As you can tell I am all about collars lately and this half button up is perfect.

Sunday I wore an oversize chiffon top from American Apparel. I love the black and white stripes. The peter pan collar is my fave and I added a white necklace to the mix. Purple tights were my addition of color this day.

For Christmas Eve I wore a mix of red and gold. My gold jeans were a great pant for the cold day. My black and white button up went well with the color mix. And the red cardigan popped with the gold jeans. This unique color combo is perfect for the holiday season.

For Christmas I decided to go with an eclectic mix of leather, red, and plaid. The leather shorts from Forever 21 are perfect over any colored tight. The plaid is perfect for the holiday and the mix went together well. Although my photo was a little awkward I think you get the idea of what I was going for with this look.

Happy Holidays!

Home sweet home.

Now that I am finally home I can get back to blogging regularly. Oh how I have missed this! I hope to bring my readers some inspiration during these next few weeks. I hope to plan some great cold weather looks to inspire my readers that just because it is cold does not mean you have to wear the same old sweatshirt and jeans! Here are a few looks from the past week and a half!

In the midst of finals I wore a pair of sweatpants which NEVER happens. I got a new pair of grey leg warmers from American Apparel and really wanted to wear them. I think they are perfect for the cold weather and can't wait to wear them over my tights.

Te next comfy look I put together consisted of this oversize brown sweater. I love the big buttons and the cozy color. Worn with a pair of black leggings and boots for overall comfort.

Over the weekend I had a Christmas party to attend. I was super excited to wear this new dress from Urban Outfitters. The print features red and blue old cars. I love the black piping and the bow at the collar. I wore my red ankle boots to match the print and also they are a perfect color for the holiday season!

For my last day at school I put on my oversize top with a black scarf. For some color I wore my purple striped thigh high socks over my liquid leggings for some edge. I had three finals this day so comfort was my main priority but this look is chic and the socks give it a trendy feel.

Today, December 19th is my five year anniversary of dating my boyfriend! We spent the day out at the mall, then at the movies, and lastly at dinner. It was a fun filled day and I was happy to spend it with my best friend. I wore a grey striped dress under a pink metallic top. My black ankle boots were perfect with the look.

Home stretch.

Monday I was looking for comfort. I decided on a floral top from Target and a collared top underneath. I absolutely love peter pan collars and the collar on this little white top is perfect for layering under sweaters. I wore leggings for comfort and my tan heeled boots.

Thursday my goal was also comfort, as it has been lately as I push through these last few weeks of school and now preparing for finals. My dark red leggings were worn over a 3/4 sleeve tunic top. I love the oversize shape of this top and the color is perfection paired with black and the deep red color.

Wednesday I opted to wear my heattech shorts from Uniqlo. I love the comfy knit and the winter design on the short. I wore a chunky lime green cardigan for warmth although the day was fairly mild. My silver flats completed the look. Lately, although I am a fan of boots I have loved the idea of tights and flats!

Tuesday I went for a quick skate in the morning. I wore leggings and a mix of black, blue, and grey layers for warmth. It was really warm out and I was completely shocked! It was perfect for skating. I am a huge fan of hats and this one was perfect for some time out on the ice.

This day I opted to wear a grey striped dress over leggings. The look was pretty simple and boring so I threw on my high hot pink socks for a splash of color! The socks really brighten up the look! Plus, the extra warmth is always great!

December.

Monday I wore a pleated tunic dress that is a shiny peach color. It features jewels along the neckline and a striped chunky cardigan on top. This dress is super comfortable for a Monday full of class and meetings but still chic.

Tuesday I did homework all day. Hence the messy hair and the no make-up face. I wore my extra large Legalize Gay t-shirt from American Apparel. I love the purple color and the top is perfect with leggings. I love this shirt because I am such a supporter of Gay rights. I believe that everyone should be treated as equals!

Wednesday I wore a button up tan dress. With my light blue tights for a pop of color. This look was slightly boring but I enjoy anything that involves color rights and collars! I had to add the scarf for warmth cause it's starting to get extremely chilly!

Thursday I finally went ice skating for the first time this season!! I bundled up with about five layers of basic leggings and long sleeve and turtle neck shirts. But I did wear my pink wool coat skating. Which some may think of as silly but I know how to stay up on my feet when skating so I didn't have to worry about falling on the ice! I don't let any occasion get in the way of my style so I threw on a pair of thigh high grey socks for a little bit of style!

Friday I had an interview at the Wendy William's Show for a Wardrobe Intern position. The interview went well! I wore my new grey wool trousers with a tucked in black top and a cheetah belt for some flair. My pink flats added some color and my white scarf off set the dark colors! Although I am a huge dress and skirt fan I couldn't help myself but purchase these awesome trousers when I saw them at Forever 21. They are perfect for Fall days when I need to wear business casual attire!

Yesterday, I wore an all black and white look. A little black tank dress under my white chunky cardigan and a print scarf on top for a little mix. I did wear my pink coat when I went outside but I enjoy a basic look every once in a while!

Thanksgiving Week.

Last Monday my goal was comfort and warmth. I wore my red leggings with a white lace tunic and a black long sleeve top. My grey boots added another neutral to the mix and the print scarf tied the look together.

Tuesday for traveling I wore my new oversize American Apparel chiffon top. I love the black and white stripes and the collar detail. I layered two necklaces over the button up and added my black leather boots to the mix. This oversize top is super lightweight and comfortable which makes it perfect for travel.

Lately, I have been obsessed with maxi skirts for the colder weather. This day at home I decided to wear my seafoam color maxi skirt over tights and boots. A black 3/4 sleeve tie shirt kept my arms warm and the purple skirt was a perfect addition of color to match the seafoam.

For Thanksgiving I decided to wear my gold hi-lo dress. Although I forget to take good photos I was able to get a few quick pictures of the dress. Again I buttoned up the shirt all the way to the top and wore a necklace. The color was perfect for the Fall holiday.

Yesterday I decided to wear a black and white striped dress under my fringe sleeve sweater. The strapless dress went perfectly under the sweater giving it a look as if it were a skirt. The purple scarf added some color to the otherwise monotone look. My H&M purse necklace stood out perfectly under the scarf over the black sweater. I am obsessed with the sleeves on this sweater and I have lately fallen in love with anything striped!

Chilly weather!

Monday I decided to wear an off-white chiffon dress with my dark maroon tights. I also wore a mustard color blazer because I absolutely love this color combination. I wore black loafers and a scarf to pull together the look.

This day I wore a black dress with a white and grey floral design. This look is very basic but I was looking for something comfortable to wear around the city running errands. I wore my grey trench coat and black boots. I threw on a pair of purple socks to bring a splash of color to the look.

On Wednesday I went with a print dress. I love the print and the colors incorporated in the print. I wore my grey boots and black basics as well. I love these short grey boots and they matched the grey in the print perfectly.

Thursday I wore a red/orange pleated skirt. A black top and boots went well with the skirt and I wore a silk scarf tied in a french knot around my neck.

Friday I had an interview and I decided to wear a beige sweater dress because it is stylish yet professional. I wore my black sparkle boots to bring some flair to the look. I love this color dress and I can't wait to wear it with some bright color accessories!

Yesterday I wore a pair of gold jeans which have been sitting in my closet since September. I wore a striped turtleneck because it was very cold. A red scarf went perfectly with the gold color.

November Fashion.

This day I really wanted to wear my floral dress from H&M. To avoid wearing a jacket I wore a black sweater over the dress and I used a tan braided belt to structure the look. A pair of black tights covered my legs and my pink flats finished the look for a touch of color.

For a day of running errands I decided to wear my jeans. I don't usually wear jeans I prefer tights and a dress. But this day I wanted to go laid back so I wore the denim with a plain tee and a purple paisley scarf. My plaid jacket helped keep me warm on a chilly NYC day.

For traveling I always strive for comfort. And when it is super cold layers are the way to go. This day I wore a black and grey striped dress with a white comfy cardigan on top. Black tights with white knee high socks and boots covered my legs. My favorite part of this look is my new bright pink coat I recently purchased at H&M. The color is my favorite and it fits perfectly. I originally wore my fur headband to keep me warm (bottom lefthand photo) but switched over to my wide brimmed hat when I got home!

Lastly, a look using my boyfriends new shirt which I bought for him recently. I went to visit him this weekend and quickly stole this flannel shirt to wear with leggings. It was super comfortable and reminded me of him all day! I belted it for some shape and threw on some black basics. Now I know for future reference I can pack less clothing and steal from him to clothe myself for the weekend!

Colder Weather Looks.

I loved this comfortable look I wore last Thursday for a trip home. The shorts are made from a Heat Tech material so they are very comfortable and warm. I then wore a button down white blouse with black trim and my hot pink/magenta tights. This color is my absolute favorite and as you may know by now I am obsessed with colored tights. I then wore my black boots and the look was perfectly comfortable for a bus ride home. Find more chic looks and items at http://www.garage.ca.

This weekend I focused on comfort with leggings, sweaters, scarves, and boots. This day I wore a light pink oversize sweater I claimed on Chictopia last winter. With my black leggings, boots, and a houndstooth scarf this look was perfectly chic.

Yesterday, I wore one of my favorite oversize men's sweater. This one is Christian Dior. I found it at Goodwill a few years back and it continues to be one of my favorites. I wore a black jumpsuit from American Apparel underneath (one of my new favorite items) and my black patent leather boots. Of course I had to top off the look with my new wide brimmed hat from forever 21.

Thanks for stopping by, I apologize for the lack of photos but Hurricane Sandy put a damper on my looks. I stayed indoors for several days and mostly stayed in pajamas and sweats! But I will be back next weekend with another post!

End of October.

This day I decided to wear my new favorite hat. To go with the hat I then picked out my favorite Paris scarf and tied it in a french knot around my neck. With my white dress under my light pink shirt from H&M I was ready to go. I wore my black zip jacket and a pair of leggings for warmth. I then chose my new sparkle boots to finish the look! I think this is one of my chicest looks to date!

The next day I really wanted to wear my sparkle boots again so I decided to wear a basic look with a pair of blue tights to make it pop. I love this dark royal blue color and I am obsessed with tights in all colors. With a black dress, white cardigan, and scarf I was ready for a chilly day of classes.

After the blue tights I couldn't help myself but to wear another colored pair the following day. This day I chose mustard. One of my favorite colors. With the new tights I wore an old floral dress from Forever 21 and my black basics: boots and a long cardigan to tone down the crazy colors.

This day I decided to wear my new pair of jeans. I am not a fan of jeans and I prefer a dress any day but I decided to go for it and wear them with a printed shirt and oxfords. A neutral tan belt finished the look.

This day I wore my new leather shorts! With a pair of oxblood tights and tan heeled boots! A white tee with sheer sleeves was the perfect top to go with this look. You can expect to see these shorts again soon!

Lastly for a relaxing day with my boyfriend and brother I decided to wear my fallback look of all black. A striped tunic with leggings was the perfect comfort look for a day of lounging around. My loafers finished the look, but I would prefer boots (I was working with what I packed for my visit). A black scarf around my neck was a perfect addition of warmth and comfort for a day of lounging around.

A week of Fall looks.

On Monday I decided to channel the 70s with a corduroy dress. The navy blue dress features an orange, red, and purple pattern and big round buttons down the top of the neckline. With some orange tights and brown boots my 70s look was complete. You can't see it in the photos but the dress also featured 3/4 length sleeves.

On Tuesday I decided to wear my pink houndsooth dress. I love this dress from H&M because it is comfortable, in my favorite colors, and houndstooth is my favorite print. I wore a short sleeve long cardigan over the dress so the pink sleeves were still visible. A vintage gold belt around my waist for some shape and my black loafers for comfort.

On Wednesday I wore my purple tiered ruffle dress from the Erin Fetherston for Target collection. I wore black tights and grey boots. And my black vest with studs on it under an animal print grey cardigan. I love the tiers with the two layers over them.

On Thursday I decided to wear my grey trouser shorts over black tights. On top I wore a neon green collared top from TJ Maxx under my black pull over sweater from Forever 21. I love this sweater because it has fringle along the 3/4 sleeve. The pull over was perfect because the peak of neon around the neck and wrists was just enough pop of color to go with the look. My loafers completed the look.

On Friday I decided to go comfortable. I have no class this day and it was raining so I spent most of the day watching Netflix and relaxing in my room. I wore a striped dress along with grey tights, black, boots, and a white scarf. Also a black cardigan pulled the basic look together.

Today I wore a new floral collar top from H&M. I love the colors in the print and the black collar. I wore it with a pair of tights and denim shorts. With my white sneakers for a day of walking I was ready for the day.

Thanks for reading my weekly update! Since I am very busy at school and don't have a perfect place to take photos this is how I will be posting from now on. Therefore, you can look forward to weekly updates featuring my looks each week. Thanks for understanding!
